Some 'Amaal of Laylat al-Qadr

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.

Below is a selection of narrations from the Imams regarding a few acts commonly performed during Laylat al-Qadr.

Placing the Qur'an on one's head and doing Tawassul of the A'imma:

[al-Amali al-Tusi]

A man came to our master al-Sadiq (upon Him be peace) and said: "O' Master, I complain to you about a debt that has seized me and a Sultan (ruler) that has oppressed me, I request from you a supplication through which I may acquire wealth, pay off my debt and relieve me of the oppression of the Sultan."

So He (the Imam) said: "When the night falls, recite two units of prayer, in the first recite al-Hamd and Ayat al-Kursi, and in the second unit recite al-Hamd and from the last (verses) of al-Hashr: "If We had sent down this Qur'an upon a mountain.." until the end of the chapter.

Then, take the Mushaf (Qur'an) and place it upon your head, and say:

"By this Qur'an, and by the right of He who sent it, and by every believer praised within, and by Your right over them, for no one knows Your right more than you,

O' Allah, ten times,

O' Muhammad, ten times,

O' Ali, ten times [and so on, every infallible including al-Zahra'a]

And then ask God for your wishes."

100 Units of Prayer:

From Jabir al-Ju'fi, from Imam al-Baqir:

"Whoever is awake the night of al-Qadr, the 23rd of the night of the month of Ramadhan, and prays 100 units, God will increase his lifespan, and within it is great reward."

Surah al-Ankabut and al-Rum:

From Imam al-Sadiq: "Whoever recites the chapter of al-Ankabut and al-Rum on the night of 23rd of Shahr Ramadhan, by God, he is from the people of paradise.."

Surah al-Qadr:

From Imam al-Sadiq: "If a man recites on the 23rd night of the month of Ramadhan the chapter al-Qadr a thousand times, he will wake up with intense faith with what concerns us, because of something he saw in his sleep."

May Allah accept all of your wishes on these blessed nights of Laylat al-Qadr (19,21,23,27 of the month of Ramadhan).
